Ninth Commandment

If your looking for a cheap all-in-one give the Lexmark X1185 a try. I
had a HP PSC 750 previously that never worked right. I sent it back to
the factory and it still didn't work properly. I talked with one of
the guys at the London Drugs warehouse (I bought it from them) and he
said they had a lot of returns because the product was a lemon.

Live and learn.

I agree. I have one of these amazingly cheap Lexmark all in ones and use it
as a backup because my amazingly expensive, massive Ricoh copier/fax is
always on the blink or awaiting parts (like this weekend). When it goes
off-lease I think I will just buy and wear out a few dozen Lexmarks for less
money overall. The throughput times are not all that different.

I and my sister have an HP 750xi and they work just fine.

Ever bought ink for it? Probably cheaper to buy a new printer <g>

You're a lucky guy then! My X73 all-in-one-big-pile printer is crap.
Probably the software. Don't buy Lexmark, unless you like Indian tech
support who read the same old sheet of paper over and over .... (a) problem
with your UBS port or (b) reinstall the software.

Lexmark printers are slow and are CRAP!!

First, Lexmark is crap.

That said, buy an ink kit from a computer store and refill it. It's
actually faster than swapping cartridges, re-alignment etc. 25-cents worth
of ink fills a $30 cartridge.

Also, point two,

Don't buy Lexmark, unless you like Indian tech support who read the same old
sheet of paper over and over .... (a) problem with your UBS port or (b)
reinstall the software.
