SATAII drive not detected

Hello all

I just purchased a WD1600JS SATA II Drive (160 GB) and a 1s
generation SATA Host controller Card for the following system

P4 2.66 gh
Asus P4S8X-X motherboar

1 DVD-RO
1 DVD Burne
1 Maxtor IDE 20 GB H
1 MAxtor IDE 120 GB H

I installed the Host card into the MOBO and connected the drive to i
as well as a power supply

My drive is warm which mean its receiving power and my Host card i
working properly in the device manager

The problem is Windows XP does not detect the drive and I have trie
using Disk Management, but it doesnt detect it either

PLEASE HELP ME!

What do you expect? If you cannot answer questions, then you will
get nothing here and righfully so.

Then run some PnP util to learn which it is really.

It would also give you an opportunity to find the maker (vendor-id), which
perhaps have a website, perhaps with some kind of support, download, etc.

What's the point. If it doesn't identify itself, it's dead.
