What is the best Serial ATA150 HDD on the market these days?
I have 3 options of

Western Digital
Samsung
Seagate

They are all good, individual variations between units from
the same production line are probably as great as those
between manufacturers.
Look at warranty, price. See Tom's Hardware or PC World
reviews to see what you can.

Back in the old days, "Seagate" would have been your best bet, but now
a days, I think they are all made at the same place, just labeled for
the appropriate manufacturer.

WD Raptor 74 GB 10K RPM.

The Raptor 74 was purpose-built for SATA, and is significantly improved over
the original Raptor 36 SATA.

LOL........boy isn't that the truth! With margins so small, I guess
quality on IDE drives had to suffer. Seems the only drive you can
almost absolutely count on are the enterprise style drives (SCSI)
but you get what you pay for I guess. I remember when a 1 gig drive
was more than what you pay for a 160 gig drive today ;)
