Hello
I have the following MB: Asus P4P800S-SE

I will install a new sata hard disk, so I'm not interested in raid, also
because my chipset (848P) doesn't support sata raid...

Do I need of MAKEDISK.EXE file to install my hard disk? When I connect a
SATA hdd, does WinXP installer allow me to install Windows in my new sata
hdd?

In MB's cd there is not this file!

So Makedisk.exe is only useful if I want to create a Sata Raid?!?

Thanks in advance!

I installed many Asus P4P800 boards (I think similar to yours) with SAT
discs and never had to use something extra to have it running. Just plug and
play.
