Does the PCI Card itself needs to be hot swap capable or the Enclosures
alone ? Please advise. Saw a few from Granite but not sure if it works
well. Does it supports Mutitasking like SCSI ?

The card has to support it but most do--hot-swap is part of the SATA
spec--the trouble is that some of the chip manufacturers didn't fully
implement the spec.

SATA allows one drive and one host adapter per bus. In that situation
nothing special has to be done to support multitasking--any such support
would be upstream of the SATA hardware.

SATA allows one drive and one host adapter per bus.

Nonsense.
It's point to point but several drives can be connected through a concentrator.
In that situation nothing special has to be done to support multi-
tasking--any such support would be upstream of the SATA hardware.

If the device (not drive) is a concentrator then the question of IO
serialization or parallelization (device/drive multitasking) comes up.
