SATA optical drives

I am still looking for someone who has used a SATA optical drive (DVD)
and your opinion of it. There are only two makes I am aware of----one
of which is the Plextor. I received a response from Plextor that my MB
(Intel 915PBL) is compatable with their latest SATA, DVD drive. I
would like to utilize another of my SATA connections and this seems to
be the only way to go, other than another hard drive---which I don't
need at present. If you have any experience with this drive-----please
let me know----Thank You

I got the Plextor drive in my Shuttle XPC. No problems in SuSE 10.0 or
WinXP, 32- or 64-bit versions.
