SATA hdd

ok here is the deal i have a old 20gig maxtor ide hdd and need to
upgrade so i got a 160g wd sata. now i still have the ide as the C
drive and when i rebooted the bios detected the hdd but when i went
into Disk Mangement it did not detect the hdd. now i have the molesk
power plug connected to it and the sata jumper in it also. so how do
i get windows to detecte it?

You likely need to add the sata drivers for the OS to see the sata drive.

They should be on the CD that came with the motherboard,
and should be on the motherboard manufacturer's web site
if you cant find that CD.

Load the drivers.
