I have a Samsung Spindrive SP2504C 250Gb to connect to a motherboard
that normally accepts IDE hard-drives.
What would be the best product to do the conversion from SATA to IDE?

You need a SATA to IDE Adapter kit.
www.google.com is your friend.

Um ... Most newer motherboards accept *both* types of drives.
Unless your mobo is really OLD, you probably don't need a converter;
just the cable-adapter which usually comes with the motherboard.

Then you go into the BIOS and select boot-order so the right drive ends
up as your C: boot drive.
