The Asus website will tell you which SATA chip the board is using..based on
that info you should be able to determine which SATA drivers need to be
loaded (which need to be placed on a floppy because thats the only place XP
will look).
In order to do this now you will need to follow the directions in the readme
file.
Then of course you will need to load the mobo chipset drivers.

Add another memory chip that matches the one you have. The speed increase
will astound you. Make sure you check the motherboard book and get it
installed in the correct socket on the motherboard. The OS should
automatically detect and use the additional memory on boot.

If the machine is running after the operating system install, the SATA
drives are supported OK. Changing to IDE/PATA drives will give you a
_slower_ HD susbystem.

Hi;

I misread you machine description. Approx 2 GB should give very good
perfoemance.Try the chgange. Might be beneficial ifmthe system BIOS will
allow it. Check the MoBo book to make sure the chips are in the correct
slots.
