I'm getting ready to install Vista Ultimate on a computer that has no floppy
drive (A). Does the Vista DVD have the appropriate drivers on the disk or do
I have to figure out a way to install the drivers using F6....

Vista does not need the SATA drivers on a floppy.....it can and will read
them from anything..CD..DVD..USB Flashdrive.
As you go thru the installation steps you see the screen that basically says
which drive do you want to install on....and none will show. There is a
button on the lower left that you need to click to load the SATA
drivers...Vista will search your drives..if it does not find it lets your
browse.

Hi jimrx4
The Vista installation DVD has about all the chipset drivers needed to see
your hard drives. Intel raid are on it if that is how you are setting it up.
The only one I have not seen is Jmicron. You can download your drivers from
the Manufactures web site.
Good Luck
