SATA boot in Ubuntu?

Hey guys, got another problem.

I downloaded and burned the current Ubuntu. Loaded it on a newly built box,
MSI K7N2 Delta w/ NVIDIA nforce2 Gagabit MCP/Raid MCP (integrated SATA
inerface).

Ok, Ubuntu installed fine and recognized the Maxtor sata. However, it won't
boot, and I've tried every setting in the bios to do so. I also just flashed
the bios and still no joy. In my bios, there is NO setting for booting from
a sata. Should I try all the SCSI stuff, too?

Thanks for any help/

Doesn't the SATA disk appear in Hard Disk Boot Priority?
