What have you tried and what specifically is not working?

I have disconnected all but a dvd-r to load the disk, when it asks for the
floppy (f6) it loads the drivers and continues. It tells me that windows
will restart and continue the process. When windows XP restarts, it starts
the initial process again. I have the boot settings as the dvd to boot and
the scsi as secondary.

The Windows boot CD, at least, should ask you to "hit any key to boot
from CD" when it comes back - in this case you don't want to do that, so
it boots off the hard drive. If that prompt doesn't show up, then you
should eject the disc before it reboots.

HAve you loaded the drivers and installed or removed (I forget which ) the
jumper for SATA. I have the raid drivers loaded but only a single SATA as
drive C and it works fine.
The SATA drive(s) are treated as SCSI so you need to load the VIIA drivers
when the request comesup in the XP load process. YOu may also need SP1 for
XP but I can't remember for sure.
I hate to say this but its all in the manual for the MB.
