I would like to know the best way to configure my motherboard bios, first to
boot the SATA western digital 120 gigs with Windows XP pro as operating
system, and second to add another western digital IDE 800 gigs as slave.
Also how to connect ide cable for the slave disk.
Thanks in advance for your informations
Hoping that my question is clear and understandable.

Boot sequence in bios would be best set as Floppy, CD-ROM, SCSI. Also,
make sure the ide connected drive (just set jumpers as slave and hook to the
lower connector of the ide cable, usually colored grey if it is an 80 wire
Ultra ATA cable) is totally clean of any boot info as this may cause the
motherboard confusion and hence, to fail to boot correctly. Once that is
done, loading XP onto the SATA drives is pretty easy, just have to remember
to have a floppy with the SATA drivers ready and hit F6 when it asks at the
beginning.
