Hello,

I have a MSI MS-7125 board. I have been running SATA 150 drives
with this board, mainly Seagate Baracuda's. I like these drives and
they work fine for me. My question is about the SATA 2 (300) drives. I
have been told to stay away from them because they have problems. Is
this true or not? I have heard talk of firmware problems with these
drives. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

Interface speed doesn't matter. No hard drove runs faster than about
60meg anyway. So what's the point of whether they run at 150 or 300?

To claim all SATA300 drives have firmware problems would be
arbitrary and untrue. If you know of a specific SATA300
drive that has a firmware problem, please provide a link to
more information about that problem.
