I can't select any resolution above 1280x768 w/this card. Is there a

the microsoft supplied drivers (winxp)seem to offer lots more
resolutions and color combos than the ati supplied ones. I dont know why
this is but Ive noticed this lately that Ive been switching many ati
cards around into different computers lately.

Try getting the "monitor inf." file for your make and model of monitor.
What make and model # monitor are you using?

The drivers you get from Microsoft actually come from ATI. The reason he
can't select a higher res is because he doesn't have the correct .inf
file for his monitor installed.

Maybe he does and the monitor can't handle the resolution he wants.
