Hi,
I have a 128mb Sapphire Radeon 9200 (atlantis?) card. It says on the
box it has vivo capabilities and apparently I can set up digital VCR
to record video to HDD.

Except I don't seem to have the digital VCR software! The box came
with the card , a s-video cable and a CD-rom. Installing the CD-ROM
was ok, drivers, hyrdavision etc all installed. but no mention of
digital VCR. I hunted through the labyrinthine directory structure
onthe CD-rom, found mention of "Digital VCR" in the online manual but
not what program to install. I installed almost every setup.exe file I
could find on the disk but to no avail.

Please, ANYONE got an idea what I should be doing. Do I need a
seperate TV tuner? Or can (as I hope) I use the s-video in/out or the
AV in/out sockets on the back?

if anyone has this card or similar can you please point me int he
right direction. Thanks.

Failing that, can anyone point me in the direction of a software
application what will take input from the above card and capture video
to disk.. if it's possible.

many thanks.

is this an All In Wonder card? (AIW)

Hi, Thanks for your reply.
I don't know if it's an AIW card per se. Guy in the shop had one on
demo and it was definately recording / replaying something , he said
it had digital VCR.
However, after looking on the saphhire site last night, it looks like
I may have purchased the "lite" version that comes without the extra
software, game etc. It certainly seems according to the online manual
it CAN do what I need but I may not have the software to ALLOW it to
do it.

So my question now becomes "Given that I have a vivo enabled radeon
graphics card.. is there any software (commercial/ freeware or
otherwise) that'll let me capture video from my AV or S-video in
sockets??

if its a radeon ATI card goto the ATI site download drivers and software from there.....there is not much to know as all radeons
use the same drivers/software the only thing that matters is if it is a AIW or not.....did it come with a purple header that has
audio/video in connectors 3 RCA and 1 Svid? That would be a AIW then.
