Came home after 6 weeks away and powered up my home machine - nothing, no
video/bios display at all.
rebooted several times and got into safe mode, deleted my 9800Pro from
system and rebooted again, system came up and found new hardware/installed
drivers Ok, worked for a week then over three days did the same again
several times, same fix but also tightened down my arctic cooler a little -
worked for a week then died while playing a game, rebooted and got asus
'voice' saying "system failed cpu test".replaced cpu with a similar with
same results. tried an old pci video card and system working fine now (just
very crippled). Guess the problem is my Video card, but could it be the
MoBo/AGP slot that is the problem. Power supply checks out Ok.
I guess I will go with a new 9800 pro (out of warranty) but I would hate to
toast a good card in a bad AGPP slot ??
Any ideas??
cheers
