Richard

I was told the the Sandisk Industrial CF's were End of Life 3/1/05 and no
longer available except what may be in left over in stock here and there.

I've tried several others and they don't hold up real well for industrial
use. Any sugestions for something rated at 60c. We use Ram EWF so it's
not that hard on them anyway.

Here is a good looking one, anyone ever use these?

We use 512mb CF from Dane-Elec. They work well. We also use their 256mb
USB devices as well. They also work well. Prior to that, we used
SimpleTech 512mb CF. Not problems with them either. And the Sandisk cruzer
mini 256mb USB device works well for us. I don't know any ratings on them.
But, we (developement engineering) specify 100k write minimum and 300k write
ideal and the procurement guys find devices for us to test.

Richard,

We have been using SimpleTech industrial modules for a while now. The
commercial modules are spec'd at 0-70C, while the industrial are rated
at -40C to +85C. Mimimum writes are 2,000,000.

They also offered us a considerable cost improvement over the Sandisk
Industrial product.

These type of flashes, are seen as 'LOCAL DISK' ( as SANDISK CF )? or as
'REMOVABLE DISK?'
thank-you.

roby.

LOCAL DISK

I know that Micron CF are REMOVABLE DISK and are useless to us. Others, I
have not tested.
