Samsung SW-224B cant see any media?

I have a emachines t4200 2ghz 512mb of ram its two years
old. The samsung drive started acting up more and more
failing at a higher rate everyday now the drive can't see
any disc in the drive at all? The third party software
cant see it either? I tried updating the firmware and
that didnt work? I cant find any drivers I tried turning
the drive slower the turning imapi cd burning on and off.
I tried uninstalling all my burning apps and nothing
works I removed the drive several times nothing seems to
work?

If you didn't purchase an extended guarantee with the PC, just replace the
CD burner. They're quite cheap now.

Sounds like you talked yourself into buying a new one. dvd-rw's are cheap
now.
