I bought a Samsung hard drive about a month ago and it
doesn't read the correct amount. It is a 160GB hard
drive and it is readin at only 35GB. A frined of mine
told me to download and install Service Pack 1, but that
didn't fix the problem. can someone please help??? I'm
running Windows XP Home Edition.

You have it formatted by Windows XP as FAT32, you need to
convert to NTFS to use all the drive or use a third party
formatting tool if you really want to stay with FAT32.

whats funny is that it was professionally installed too.
Don't you think that the people that installed it would
have tried that out?

and i tried to convert it to NTFS but it said that the
drive was already in that form.
