Dear Mr. Leo De Candia,
the printer is installed on a XP system.. via network on a windows 98
system... a DOS application has to print ... my customer has just bought the
CLP 510 and asked me if the DOS app could print on it.

The printer supports the SPL-C emulation, accordingly with

page=Specifications
so, it should work if you can redirect an LPT port to the networked printer
AND the DOS application can drive it by the correct commands.

You may also want to try Printfil, which has been designed to allow
character based applications (DOS too) printing to Windows printers
(including printers which does not support any emulation - the so called GDI
or Windows-only printers) and much more.

Kind regards,
