Darren

I have recently bought a Samsung SC-152 CD-ROM drive for
my machine but am having trouble getting it to work.

I have connected it up and the bios recognises it fine
but when windows tries to load it freezes at the 'loading
windows' screen and won;t go any further. When I
disconnect the CD-ROM drive Windows loads fine??

Any ideas guys??

I'm currently running an AMD 3200+ with 1GB DDR400 RAM on
a Gigabyte 7NNXP motherboard, with a Geforce FX 5900
Ultra graphics card and 2 150MB SATA hard drives.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

I have the same problem right now, except it's killed my
hard drive twice... I don't know what he problem is, but
last night, after I had bought my new hd, I installed
windows, did all the good stuff, fixed drivers, and than
when I tried to run a dvd, it wouldn't work... I don't
know what's wrong with it but I'll eventually figure it
out. But yah, have you tried updating the drivers? That
just might be the necessary steps.
