If you are planning to work with LDAP on the Microsoft platform, you need to
learn ADSI and the Active Directory. Start by reading up on ADSI in MSDN.

This is a really big topic. too much to begin to explain here.

I believe that there is a newsgroup for adsi as well:
microsoft.public.adsi.general

may find everything you need to now about Active Directory and C# in this
project.
