Same update!

I looked around a bit but didn't see a question on this issue. Windows update has downloaded the same update for the last 4 days running. It says that it has done it successfully each time. How can I convince it that one is enough? The machine is set to automatically download new updates. I would change it to picking them myself but I can't figure out how to do that either. Pathetic, isn't it? Thanks in advance. Granpa

Which update, some updates have different procedures?

To change the way Automatic Updates functions:
Right click My Computer
Click Properties
Click Automatic Update tab.
Check/uncheck as desired.
Click OK and follow prompts.
