I have Powerpoint 2002. I am trying to find a way to put the same title
on all slides without having to retype it into every slide. At one
time I thought I was able to do this with either Headers (which don't
seem to be available on this version) or a Title Master of some sort.
What am I missing?

Click "View", "Master", "Slide Master". In the Title box where it says
"Click here to...", click inside and type what you want the title to be.
That will stay on all slides.

Nope, that doesn't seem to work. The Slide Master says "Click to edit
Master title style", which lets me say what font, etc. but the actual
title I type in doesn't show on the subsequent slides.

Sorry, I had a brain fart! You actually need to delete the title
placeholder and create your own text box with the text you want. On each
slide make sure that the Title Placeholder is not there and it will work
fine. For that matter, it is easier to do what Geetesh mentioned. Make the
one slide you want with the text in the Title placeholder, select that slide
and press CTRL-D to duplicate it as many times as you wish. Then you can
change the other features of each slide.
