Hello,
I'm having a weird problem with the "Search for files/folders" function
under Windows 2000.
I have 2 systems (both members of the same domain), one running Windows 2000
Professional, one running Windows XP professional, both are completely
patched. I'm trying to do a search with the following parameters:
all files, modified in the last 7 days, type Microsoft Excel Worksheet
This search is running on a network drive, which I have complete access to,
and is being run under the same user account on both the Windows 2000 system
and the Windows XP system. The problem is that the XP machine returns 19
results, while the Windows 2000 machine returns 0, and appears to "give up"
on the search before actually searching all the directories of the network
drive.
If I use the same search parameters, but limit my search to a subfolder of
this network drive, I DO get results on the Windows 2000 machine.
Any ideas here? This is driving me crazy.
