I'm trying to install a scanner, but everytime I try to
run the install, I get the following message:
16 bit windows subsystem
C:\winNT\system32\Autoexec.NT .The system file is not
suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows
applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

I've attempted to do all the Microsoft fixes with
config.nt, autoexec.nt, and command.com, but nothing seems
to work.

IPMHO (I'm pulling my hair out) over this one!

I looked through old pages and got following solution. I
have not tried it yet but seems perfectly OK.
