Hello,

I found it now that my church database can be run in my office computer, but
when I run it in my laptop I can not oper it with the erorr message:
The document filename.mdb caused a serious error the last time it was
opened. Would youlike to continue opening it?".

Is this the work of Virus, I have McAffee antivirus in my laptop.

Thanks for any help

Hi Frank,

Have you tried bringing a copy from the computer at your church to replace
your existing copy at home? Perhaps your copy is corrupted.

Note: It would be best to stick to the thread that you've already started on
this topic, instead of starting this new thread. Please post any followups to

You may want to completely uninstall Office from your laptop and reinstall it.
It's possible that the problem lies, not in your database, but in the msaccess
program itself!

Tom & John, Thanks for your responses.
I have tried to uninstall completely MS Office for XP and 2007, and reinstall it the same problem still presists.

So I think the virus is the cause that makes it, this is the name of my Mcaffee Scan Result:
Detection Type:Potentially unwanted program

Detection Name: Kkrunchy Packed

Status Detected

Items: File neme: G:\Recycler\S-1-5-21-1482476501-1644491937-682003330-1013\win32.exe

My other chruch sent his files for me to check, it seems that is infected file.

Please help, if anyone can help me

Frank
