Hi, I have a image to insert as a background for each page except the Master.
Can you advise how I do this?

thank you

Because the Master contains the image of our topic, the remainder of the
slides, I need to contain a 7% gradient image of the logo which is for
repetition and estitic purposes only.

Thanks,

Barb,
Why don't you make two masters using the insert master button on the master
toolbar. Give it a distinct name, and apply that master to the first slide
only using the Slide design taskpane.

I'd do what Luc suggested and make a second master.

Otherwise, make the image, copy it, paste onto the slide and Order | Send to
Back. Repeat for each slide as appropriate.

Thanks for your help, I'll have to create a second master because others will
be using it and may shift the background logo. I went to my master slide and
created a second master, how do I apply it to the first slide only?

Thanks

Right-click the master and choose "apply to selected slides." That should
work in all versions.

Hmmm, when I right-click, I don't have the option "apply to selected slides".
I'm working in PowerPoint 2003.
