Sales Percentages Presentation Software

Where in the world can I find info about PowerPoint and other
'presentation' software that answers questions like:

What percentage of presentation users use PowerPoint?
Approximate sales figures of PowerPoint for any certain year?

I am putting together a presentation (PowerPoint, natch) and I'd like
data to graph/table/chart...etc. but have been unable to find this
kind of info anywhere

I would think that you would have to ask Microsoft for any sales information
on PowerPoint. Although, since it is usually packaged with Office, it would
be difficult to get an exact number. I would be very suspect of anyone
other than MS telling you this number.

Search the net, someone, somewhere must have done the leg work on finding
out all the presentation software available and who has what market share.
I very seriously doubt that they will give you the information for free.
After all, even people without a life need to eat.

But all that aside, why do you need the information. A business plan?
Homework? Idle curiosity?
