I am currently trying to install a Sagem 800 ADSL modem on my laptop to gain
access to the internet. However, apparently, after I install the Windows
Vista capable drivers, then plug in the modem, I get a Code 18 error message
telling me to install the drivers again.........endless loop of woe. When I
plug in the modem, and look under Control Panel, Hardware, it shows me the
modem connection but with the yellow triangle and exclamation point. Then
the code 18 issue.......
The USB port says it is pulling 400 mA.......do I need a USB hub or should I
go back to XP? So far the Sagem people have not gotten back to me with a
resolution. Any suggestions? Thanks.
