I can't seem to get into safemode on my P4P800se.
I always thought it was F8, this brings me to a device boot-option screen.
It's a MESH PC which also offers a "F10 fro recovery option" during bootup.
I need to get into safemode to be able to uninstall SP2, then re-install, as
I'm having problems.
This is the advice I got from Microsoft Support:-
"Hello Nik
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Technical Support, my name is Michelle
and I will be dealing with your case.
To ensure you receive an accurate and prompt resolution, I would like you to
try the following> Boot into safe mode by rebooting the PC and tapping F8
once every 2 seconds this should bring you into windows and you will then be
able to remove SP2 from add remove programmes , you will be better to
perform a clean boot if you go to the following web address
www.support.microsoft.com and type in the following article number>310353
this will show you how to perform a clean boot.
1:> Click on Start and then Run.
2:> In Run type msconfig and then Click Ok.
3:> A window will load up, Put a dot in Selective Start-up
4:> Untick All of the Check Boxes, Except Process System.ini.
5:> Click ok to Close the Window.
6:> You will be asked to Restart the System, Click Restart.
Then reinstall service pack 2 , when you run the clean boot and the screen
pops up just click ok
As this tool is only for trouble shooting "
Any ideas?
Nik.
