Problem! I have an MP3 player that apparently got
removed without clicking on the safely remove hardware
icon. Now, the system will not recognize it. The same
thing has just happened with a card reader. The reader
worked fine, but now, the system cannot read it all of a
sudden. The MP3 player does not even show as a disk,
although it should.

There must be a way around this! Everything for the
player has been uninstalled, and the readers is just like
a disk. The reader will show, but then I click on it and
I get the hourglass and then it disappears. The player
does not even show. ????

Thanks for helping me!

Here's something to try . . .

Attach the MP3 player to the machine and let windows detect it. Then go
into Device Manager and then uninstall the device while it's attached to
the machine. Reboot your system and have windows re-detect the device. It
sounds like the drive was corrupted and windows is still using the corrupt
driver.
