Safely copying a form

I have a database that covers a study w/ 2 phases: 'Screening' and 'Cycle'.
If have have the same forms (with a few minor differences) present in
'Screening' and 'Cycle', can I simply copy and paste their respective forms
(rename them of course), and go into the 'Form' properties of the 'Cycle'
form and point to a new data source (i.e., the table I created for the
'Cycle' version of that form)? Does that put data integrity/accuracy at risk
in any way (as opposed to building the similar 'Cycle' version from scratch)?
I would like to increase my design efficiency, but only if it is safe to do
so.

This type of design cloning should not hurt your data but a good
practice would be to make a backup copy of your database before doing
anything.
