Hi,
I am working in a network and sometimes I do things for
users as installing XP. I got the service pack 2(rollup)
on my harddisk and I need it frequently because of the
blaster. For updating home pc's I need 16mb more from the
microsoft site this is to much for a modem connection.
Now I am looking for a method to get the 16 mb on my
harddisk to use it for other machines. In win98 there was
the possibility to set the registrie in steppingmode to
have the opportunity to safe your downloads. Is there a
method like this in winXP??

Hi Harry:

I have burned all of the Updates to a CD, but there is still something that
worries me. The downloads include HTMLs that are the text instructions for
each update. Will Microsoft always have these sites available, or do I need
to convert them to word processing files or whatever? That would be a very
laborious chore. Thanks.

I kind of messed up with my original post, in that I was talking about W98
updates, not XP updates. Anyway, my question still applies.
