Hi,

I have lost the little "green arrow" icon on the bottom right that allows
you to safely disconnect a USB device. So now all I can do is remove the
device without shutting down its connection. Anyone know how to restore
this?

Many thanks indeed!

You can put this onto the desktop. Create a shortcut to

Path:
%SystemRoot%\System32\RUNDLL32.EXE shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll

Icon:
%SystemRoot%\system32\hotplug.dll

If the device is set up for 'optimise for fast removal' the option to stop
the device is not offered as it is unnecesary.
