I found out that AVG antivirus puts all the updates in
c:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG6\UPDATE\
so this folder just grows and grows...
Now, is it safe to completely delete the contents of this folder every now and then?

Delete all bun the most recent .bin file
Keep the .ctf file too.
I've always done just that with no problems.
And I bet after AVG has updated you could
delete all the files, but I keep the latest .bin
and the .ctf anyway.

Actually you can delete ALL the .bin files INCLUDING the latest one! But
keep the .ctf file.
It'll be interesting to see if AVG 7.0 cleans up its update directory to
solve this annoying little glitch.

From the AVG website, it would appear that AVG 7 is only available in the
pay-for versions, not the free version. Free link takes you to AVG 6
download.
