Hi, John.

Slow down! Take a breath. ;^}
i uninstalled a couple of programs

WHICH programs. The answer depends on knowing just which programs they
were. And HOW did you uninstall them? Did you use Control Panel | Add or
Remove Programs? Did the programs come with their own uninstall procedures?
In most cases, once the program has been removed, all you have to do is
delete the empty folders. To be cautious, you might rename the programs and
see if you get any complaints; if not, then delete them.
i also found some folders that i never knew exist. some has nothing on
them. can i delete these folders?

Again: WHICH folders? What are their names? Are they a part of Windows
itself? DO NOT delete ANY files or folders in \Windows or its subfolders
unless you are SURE you know what they are and what effect their deletion
will have on your computer.

rename this? it really bugs me a lot!

I haven't used FrontPage enough to know, but I'll bet there's a way to get
it to Capitalize.
whats the folder xerox? its empty and contains another folder nwwia

Many of us have wondered what this Xerox folder is for; apparently it is
required to exist because of some licensing agreement. Why does it bother
you? Just leave it.

Sorry, that's not the way it works here. This is NOT Microsoft Tech
Support. This Discussion Group, also known as a Newsgroup, is a
peer-to-peer support group. That means we are all just users like you -
and, just like you, we don't get paid. We are here to find answers when we
need them and to post answers when we can. But we don't offer email
support. The rule is, in short: Post your question here; come back here
for your answer. If you can't be bothered to come back for the answer, then
please don't post the question.

John, I sympathize. When I first got XP I tried my heart out to delete
Microsoft Frontpage (which I don't have) and xerox. I used everything I knew
including third party software. There are also threads (very old) on this
newsgroup concerning same. At the end of the day, my conclusion is that they
are not deletable nor are they renameable. If you ever find a way to do it,
PLEASE SHARE IT! As for why someone might care, that is a tough question.
Why do some people make their bed every day? :) Why do some people use photo
albums? :) A stuffed elephant sitting quietly in the corner of my living
room may not be doing any harm but yes, it bothers me.

I have tried to put this all behind me !!!! lol, but feel I have to respond
to others about to embark down that long, lonely road.
