I found that I had 2 files corrupted with trojan.download
and was going thru the sequence to remove it.
One of the steps was to reboot the computer in safe
mode...which I attempted to do. Someone else came and
rebooted the computer while this was in process; they
thought it was frozen up. Anyway, now I have a message
that my computer won't boot up because it's protecting.
It instructs me to switch off the virus protection program
and I'm not able to do this now since I can't boot up.
I should have disabled the virus protection before I tried
rebooting in safe mode. Now I don't know what step to
take because I'm not able to do a thing!

On starting computer press the F8 key for safe mode.
You can also install xp cd on start-up,boot from cd,
in recovery you can edit some files folders,go to search
at microsoft,type:307654
