Hi All,
Whenever I try to use Safe Mode, the computer will get to the log in screen
and then reboot itself after a few seconds. Funny thing is, it will load up
XP normally with no problems. I'm running XP Home on a Compaq 1150. Any
thoughts, suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry there's
not more info, but I can't think of what else to say to discribe the
problem. Thanks in advance.

Also it doesn't seem to matter with Safe Mode I use, with networking,
command prompt, etc....It still reboots itself.

Hi Wes, thanks for your reply. I'm able to access Safe Mode, but only if I
uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" in
"Control Userpassword2" and then restart to Safe Mode. Of course, Safe Mode
goes into the user account I use to automatically log on, and then I just
log off and go to Administrator. No problem. Getting to the Administrator
account was my concern, as Safe Mode, as I'm sure you already know, is the
only way to access it in XP Home. I guess I've got something corrupted to
do with my password login screen, as it only reboots itself at the Safe Mode
login screen. What do you think? Anyway, at least I can get to the
Administrator account, feel better knowing that, and thanks again. BTW, I
do have other administrator accounts setup with passwords, when logging on
to XP normally, but wanted to make sure I could get to the "Administrator"
account, just in case.

Blair,

To be honest with you, it beats me. At least you know how to get to Safe
Mode on *your* machine now.
