It would be great if MSAS GUI were to be more friendly with the standard vga
driver in safe mode. Safe mode display of MSAS is not very easy to follow
due to the standard vga graphics being very rudimentary. I use safe mode
often to cure spyware problems on customer pc's.

This is great feedback in terms of looking ahead to the beta2 product. I
suspect that you'll see a big improvement in safe mode operation, which,
unfortunately, looks like it will still be necessary to clean certain items.

I'd rather see the ability to scan at boot-up when it's necessary, similar to
the way Webroot's SpySweeper handles it, or for the Microsoft aficionados, the
way that Scandisk/Error-checking currently works in XP. That is, an on demand
scan that's delayed until you reboot, and before Windows comes up. I believe
it's the only sensible solution to having malware lock-up a system so thoroughly
that it hangs or fails. They've had a year to work on a valid solution, and
having users boot to Safe/Clean boot mode should not be required in any well
thought out removal tool.
