Safe Mode Display Oddity

In case you don't already know:
In Safe Mode MS AS 'Maximize' button actually operates as
Restore Down, whereas 'Restore Down' button actually
Maximises the window.. something back to front here!

In Restore Down mode all MS AS buttons are available, but
I can't read everything necessary.

My display settings: 1024x768 120DPI and Large Fonts; XP
SP2.

I might try switching to 96DPI before rebooting into Safe
Mode, next time, and see if that helps.

It is probably the 120 that's doing this. This is a known issue (i.e.
Microsoft has acknowledged it) and is on the list of fixes needed.
 
Strange, the program seems to lose some normal functionality during Safe
Mode. But are you able to scan anyway? Thanks for making this known.

Thanks Yeah, I tried it at 96DPI: seems to help a bit.
Using Normal font size also seems to help, but some
portions of text still appear cut off.
1280x1024 pixels doesn't seem to make much difference.

Yep, can scan OK.
Just can't click "Continue" to fix, or use Advanced Tools
properly unless I hit the "Maximize", i.e. Restore Down
button.

No worries.
