sa password

I'm working on a windows vista laptop. I recently installed MS Office and,
when trying to create a SQL database I'm being requested to login. I don't
know what the sa password is. Is there a default? What can I do?

Would you care to give some details about the instance (or installation) of
SQL-Server that you are trying to get access to?
