s900 or s9000 owners: what compatible ink works!?

I've just had a disaster with using non-Canon inks in my s9000. At
first I had good luck, but then I started having weird printing and it
got so it wasn't possible to get anything.

I posted here and got advice that my printhead had gone out - (green
with lines in the print) - so I bought a new printhead ($99) and
installed it, worked fine for a bit and then bad prints again.

Finally decided it was the last batch of compatible ink I was using
(and, sadly, I had bought a lot of it).

So, I bought fresh ink cartridges that were Canon brand and it's
printing beautifully again.

It does look as if the prices have come down some on the Canon ink
cartridges, so I suppose I should just stick to the real thing, but I
can't help but wonder if there is a Good Compatible ink brand that
anyone is using successfully?

I use Formulabs ink available from http://www.alotofthings.com/ Also check
out the mfgrs. web site http://formulabs.com/ It should give you a decent
sense of security in using their inks. I've had absolutely no problems at
all. I have an s820, but that printer uses the same ink cartridges as the
s900/s9000.
