S Video Cable

I am connecting my computer to a TV using an S video cable but it doesn't transmit the sound. is that normal or is there a problem with the TV or with computer

I suppose I could buy an audio output/input but do I need to have both

That's where i got my kit for the TV, i never use the TV's speakers anyway so i just plugged the audio to my home cinema amp.

I use something very similar to those cables above too - it works great Basically you have the svideo plus a 3.5mm sound jack that plug in to your PC, and then the other ends fit into a scart adapter for your TV.
