I'm confused regarding the s/pdif connections on my P4P800 deluxe.
Right now there is an s/pdif connection on the back panel (ya know, where I
can plug in usb, mouse, etc.).
But reading the manual, there is also an s/pdif connection on the
motherboard itself -- internally -- near one of the PCI slots. In the
manual, it says you can hook up this internal one to an s/pdif "module" (not
supplied). What is the purpose of that? Why would I need that if there is
already one in the back panel?
Also, do I need "digital" speakers to get digital sound? Is it best to hook
up 6 speakers the analog way, or just hook them all up via the s/pdif
connections.
