Hi All -

Seems every computer I touch the processor eventually
slows down to an intolerable rate. Any suggestons for a
non-ITer? Already checked for spybots and have defraged.

Try this...
Start
Run
"type" cmd./k chkdsk /v <enter>
when it gets through
"type" exit <enter>
If it said it was making any corrections
This was done in read only mode.
Start
Run...
"type" CHKDSK /R/F
at the prompt type "Y" for yes
restart (will take up to hlf hour)

Get online
Go to run virus scan online
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/
in teh center ther is "free online virus and security scan"
Click virus scan
let it run
If anything shows up write down
go to google
type the names you get
print the instructions to remove it
do everything it says
exactly in teh order

Asking a question like this, with absolutely no detail about your magic
touch, what you're doing, or what programs you're using and how , is
downright silly. If you don't know how to ask for help, expect no help.
