hi, prob been asked b 4,but when i'm certin sites, and open another window, and
then try to back out of it,this meesage comes up.
runtime error
program:c:\program files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe

this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in a unusual
way...etc

its driving me nuts, how can i fix it?

thanks Rosco

Hi Rosco,

Check the plugins/addons that are loading with IE. Click tools/internet
options/programs tab, and then 'manage addons'. Disable the non-Microsoft
ones that are loading with IE to see if the behavior stops. If so, slowly
reenable a few at a time to isolate which one is causing the issue.

hey rick, yep tried all that, and its still happening, when i use system
restore, its ok for about a day, then its back.

hey rick
ummmmm not to sure where to find that?sorry pretty green, when it comes to
sorting out certin probs on here

Hi,

Sorry, I made an assumption, most are familiar with this tool. Click start
and type MSCONFIG, then hit <enter> to open the system configuration
utility. On the startup tab you will find a list of programs that load when
the system boots. Unchecking them prevents them from loading, but does not
uninstall them, so use this tool to diagnose which one of them is causing
the error.

go to certin programes,eg:mail, internet explorer etc, theres no where to type
anything,i have windows xp,does that make a diff? done a search for startup
tab, told me about it,but not how to get there lol,hey thanks for your time,u
can hit me later.

Hi,

Well, for starters you should have picked an XP group for a more appropriate
response. In Vista, there is a run/search box at the bottom of the menu. In
XP, you need to click start/run or hit the winkey+r to open the box.
