Runtime Error message

I get a popup screen that has as its title

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"

It says,

Runtime Error!

Program F:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

abnormal program termination


Any idea about how to fix this? I can't seem to uninstall
or delete the previous version of IE so that I can install
a new version.

First suspect viruses. If you don't find any, scan for
spywar/malware/parasites. Of course, the reason can be something else, but
these are unfortunately most common reasons.
