P.A.
I use I.E. 6.0 with Windows 2000 Professional. For about
three weeks now I've noticed that when I go to a defunct
url, click on a bad link, incorrectly type in a url, or
otherwise fail to point the browser to a valid internet
address, the browser quits on me (and usually any other
browser windows I open also quit). In addition to "Runtime
Error" at the bottom of the dialog box it says "Abnormal
Program Termination. I used to just get the normal
Microsoft screen thal offers a link to test the settings,
but again, now the browser itself closes on me an Explorer
just quits. Any ideas as to what's causing this problem
and how to rectify it are appreciated.
